Sundance Film Festival kicks off in Utah Tomorrow, Online next week

Celebrating its 40th edition, Sundance Film Festival is back with a full slate of in-person programming in the resort town of Park City with a full slate of screenings in Salt Lake City. Once again film lovers, journalists, and critics are flocking to the mountain ski area to kick the year off with a huge array of new feature films from a diverse set of veteran filmmakers and emerging directors.

Mill Valley Film Fest, maybe not a household name, but a heck of lineup

n 2021, in the heat of the pandemic, I was looking for anything to keep my mind busy and find new films that deserve attention. Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF), was more than happy to help me on this venture and I had an incredible time even if just from my living room. While, once again, I’m not able to head down to California to catch it in person, they’re still offering virtual viewing options not only for press but more importantly, you the viewing audience!

SXSW Film & TV Festival 2023 sets aside hybrid and goes fully in person

After two years of the pandemic creating a more accessible festival, in-person SXSWFilm is back with a tantalizingly long list of films that I am eager to devour. While I won’t be in Austin this year to experience the crazed ups, downs and sideways of traversing the crowds, freebies and long lines I will get to chow down on the smorgasbord of offerings that SXSW Film has to offer.

Sundance Film Festival is Back in Person and Online

Despite the best laid plans to leverage last year’s fully virtual experience and start 2022 with a hybrid in-person and online festival, this winter’s steep Omicron surge found the Sundance Film Festival again pivoting to a mostly virtual format. Once again, film lovers, journalists, and critics will be experience the annual kick-off of independent film festival season mostly from their couches.

TSAFF celebrates 17 years of presenting South Asian film and filmmakers to Seattle

Tasveer South Asian Film Festival kicks off another year of fantastic works by and about the South Asian community both in Seattle and beyond. Tasveer is a non-profit organization in its 20th year of uplifting marginalized groups and encouraging social change through the arts. Having such diverse viewpoints in the arts and the city as a whole is what makes Seattle such an interesting place and TSAFF is an important voice in that eclectic group.
